Prepare your beat before you submit.

This page gives enrolled students a clean pre-submission checklist so the Signal Test receives the right file, the right context, and the strongest version of one beat.

Submission checklist

Use this before sending your track. Do not overthink it. Package the work cleanly.

01 / File

Export clean audio

  • Use WAV or high-quality MP3.
  • Leave the beat untagged if possible.
  • Avoid clipping or distortion from the master output.
  • Export the full arrangement, not a loop only.
02 / Details

Include the basics

  • Beat title.
  • BPM.
  • Key, if known.
  • DAW used.
  • Main thing you want feedback on.
03 / Link

Check access

  • Make sure your link is viewable.
  • Google Drive, Dropbox, SoundCloud, or BandLab links are fine.
  • Do not send a locked/private link without access.

Suggested file name

Use a clear format so your submission is easy to track.

ExampleProducerName_BeatTitle_BPM_Key.wav
ExampleYodiRez_NightSignal_140BPM_Dm.wav

Before you submit

  1. Listen from start to finish once.
  2. Confirm the intro, hook, verse, and ending are intentional.
  3. Turn the master down if it is clipping.
  4. Write one sentence about what you tried to create.
